Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is hosting ‘Art Meets Fashion’, a lively pop-up in collaboration with leading designers from the Oriental Fashion Show Paris and other international Fashion Weeks. Fashion designers in attendance from Oriental Fashion Show include French designers Lamia Lakhsassi and MouniaAmouri, Moroccan designer SoukainaTouahri and Amina Benmoussa, creator of Miya Couture.
From Thursday11thto Monday 15th November, designers, influential names, brands and collections from the fashion world will be showcased at the hotel, including Aliya Abdimazhit, Samidel Almaty, Hafiza CollectionAdili, Lidiya Andre, Gulnara Kassym, Leyla Qazaq, Elmira Batyrovaand many more.
The five-day event will commence with an industry panel discussion, where fashion experts Hind Joudar, Founder of Oriental Fashion Show Paris, and SayatDossybayev, CEO of Kazakhstan Fashion Week,will educate and inspire on topics from brand development to securing a place at Oriental Fashion Show Paris.
Guests will have the chance to watch a live painting event with talented Iranian artist Azam Sadeghi featuring a unique technique used by the artist to create a series of bold pop-up canvases.The panel discussion and art show will take place on November 11 from 5pm to 8pm at Open Sesame terrace and is free for everyone to attend.
During the event all guests have an exciting opportunity to indulge into Art Afternoon Tea sessions, where a three-tiered stand of mouth-watering savoury and sweet treats will be offered, followed by an art tour with Astrid Lessuise, Art Manager at Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown. The Art Afternoon tea is available for AED 145 for two persons, 12pm to 6pm.
On Saturday, 13th November, the Afternoon Tea offer will be taken to the next level with Sip & Stitch Party, a two-hour creativity session with one of the fashion designers.
Throughout the event, all guests and visitors will have a chance to win a staycation at Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown by voting for their favourite Emirati dress design, exhibited at the lobby lounge area as part of Zay Initiative fashion competition.
