Contemporary Japanese dishes are served in laid-back, uber-cool surrounds at the Ikigai Tokyo Mix Brunch. Just the place to while away a Saturday afternoon with a gaggle of friends or a special someone, the three-course set menu here has been created in collaboration with chef sensation, Reif Othman and it shows.
The feasting begins with an array of sharing-style starters; various maki and sashimi, edamame and signature shrimp pops are followed by main course options such as miso grilled chicken, teriyaki-glazed salmon straight from the robata grill and the seriously tasty Ikigai wagyu beef burger. For dessert, a platter featuring the much emulated but never bettered chocolate cookie sando, seasonal fruits and a tangy and tropical sorbet ensures that the meal ends on a high note. Funky beats are supplied courtesy of house DJ, Avidbold and the drinks flow freely all afternoon – what more could you ask for?
