To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Central Hotels, one of the fastest-growing hospitality management companies in the UAE, has conducted informative events at C Central Resort The Palm and Royal Central Hotel The Palm.
Designed to raise attention about the most commonly occurring cancer in women, the activities focused on early prevention, detection, and treatment of the disease. Female team members from the two properties gathered last 12 October to attend a webinar, participate in an online consultation and join entertaining games.
The online consultation was conducted by Dr. Radwa El Sabeewho encouraged the women to perform regular breast self-examination. She emphasized that breast cancer symptoms are invisible and not noticeable so an annual professional screening or mammogram is recommended to detect breast cancer at an early age. When detected early, treatment is most likely to be successful.
Abdulla Al Abdulla, Group CEO of Central Hotels, said: “All of us have been touched with some form of our cancer in our lives, whether it be directly or directly. The breast cancer awareness campaign that we organize every year is a top priority, especially for our female staff. Highlighting the importance of early detection is the key to breast cancer control. The earlier the disease is diagnosed, the better the chance of successful treatment. We are a big family so we must take care of our member’s health and well-being.”
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Every October, leading private and public entities support the cause by conducting free clinical breast examinations and mammogram screenings across the UAE.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organised by major breast cancer charities and supported by many different organisations and global companies every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cure.
