Aleph Hospitality Brings Cluster Operations Hubs To Hotels In Middle East And Africa

Dynamic independent hotel management company Aleph Hospitality is taking an innovative cross-geography approach to clustering senior management roles in the Middle East and Africa.

Most recently, the company promoted Ajnesh Kumar, financial controller, and Hilal Kaarafani, executive chef, of Getfam Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to cluster positions also responsible for Aleph Hospitality’s upcoming opening, the Best Western Plus Westlands in Nairobi, Kenya, set to open in September.

Both Kumar and Kaarafani will remain based in Addis Ababa and commute between the two cities, overseeing the operation of their respective departments in both hotels.

Bani Haddad, Founder and Managing Director of Aleph Hospitality, commented: “These promotions will bring significant benefits to both hotels, as we streamline overheads for our owners and share the skillsets of our most talented people across properties in our portfolio.”

He explained: “In the digital age, we want to use the power of modern communication to our advantage and believe cluster positions can easily cross geographies, with the right support structures in place. This flexible approach to hotel resourcing is greatly appreciated by our owners, who rely on us to choose the most cost-effective methods of hotel management. In addition, we’re proud to be able to offer such opportunities for career progression to our team, who gain exposure to different hotel brands in various dynamic markets.”

Aleph Hospitality, which currently has nine hotels in its portfolio, manages hotels directly for owners, either on a franchise basis for branded properties or as a white label operator for independently-branded hotels.
