Artist Dina Saadi Adds Colour To Life With An Artistic Makeover Of Vida Downtown’s Epic Food Truck

When Vida Downtown launched its famous food truck, it was one of Dubai’s first unique hangouts offering a laid-back ambience and delicious street food.  Now, its endearing free spirit gets a fantastic makeover – by artist and muralist Dina Saadi.

First 50 visitors will be treated with complimentary sliders as they watch Dina transform the food truck into a compelling piece of art on October 18 and 19 from 6pm to 10pm right outside Vida Downtown on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.

Having set her imprint in public art – from New York to London, Cairo and Amman, among other cities – with impactful murals and concept art, Dina brings her deft art skills to give the Vida Downtown food truck a visual identity like none other.

But that is not all: Once Dina accomplishes her work, every Friday and Saturday, from 6pm to 10pm, the food truck delivers lip-smacking goodness that will now include not only its signature delicacies but also an array of choices conjured up by the expert chefs at La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie, Toko and 3inI on different days.

What more, being totally pet-friendly, Vida Downtown’s food truck will be welcoming and pampering your pets with dog bowls and special treats as you relax in a cozy setting in the center of Dubai.

The fun doesn’t cease on weekdays; the food truck will be parked at Emaar Square from 8.00am to 3.00pm, bringing all the goodness alive, just right for a quick break from work for office-goers too.

Based in Dubai now, Dina uses public art to convey compelling ideas; she draws her inspiration from the beauty of nature and other rich cultures, and her inspiration is evident from her use of bright colour palettes. Her mission in life is simple; use the street as a canvas and adds colours to lives in the process.

Dina’s art depicts the diversity of urban spaces; the characteristics of modern life; the allure of wildlife; the beauty of plants and the mystery of natural elements. Having worked with a number of international brands, Dina has also participated in several street art festivals and global projects and painted on some of the walls in the Middle East, Europe, USA, Asia, and Africa.
