Priced from AED 240,afternoon tea is available daily from 2:00pm to 5:00pm,featuring a decadent selection of savoury delicacies and sweet treats.
Upon arrival, guests will be seated in the opulent lounge with stunning views of The Palm Island before indulging in a decadent spread. Curated by Patrice Cabannes, Executive Pastry Chef of Atlantis, The Plam, the afternoon tea is presented on a stylish golden stand, where guests can enjoy a lavish selection of treats at their leisure. Guests will begin their afternoon tea experience with a selection of homemade finger sandwiches, including sumptuous chicken rillettes with onion marmalade and a unique purple bread, Atlantic smoked salmon, a classic English cucumber sandwich with truffle cream, and veal cotto with truffle cream, crème fraîche, and Gruyère on spinach bread, followed by fluffy scones served with Devonshire cream and fruit marmalade.
Accompanying these will be an assortment of beautifully handcrafted pastries, such as a white chocolate delicacy featuring fresh strawberries, a vanilla pastry paired with custard, cream, and vanilla marmalade, raspberry tart, mango tart, as well asa peanut delight with chocolate, caramel, and shortbread. The star of the spread is the indulgent 68% chocolate mousse, made with chocolate crafted exclusively by the Weiss Chocolate Factory in France.A refreshing apple sorbet, disguised as a real apple, brings the tea service to a sweet end, followed by a refreshing beverage.
Plus, diners can immerse themselves in the world of tea, where they will be able to choose from 12 different varieties of AVANTCHA tea, including classic blends, and herbal and fruity infusions. Guests will also receive a special box of chocolate pralines as a takeaway gift.
Since joining Atlantis, The Palm in 2014, Patrice Cabannes has been the leading force behind the resort’s standout cakes, breads, pastries and much-loved ‘Atlantis Chocolate’. Cabannes embarked on his career with a pastry diploma in Paris andled the kitchen at Ciboulette in Atlanta. His illustrious career has taken him to several prestigious pastry kitchens around the globe, including in the USA, Paris, Prague, and Thailand. At Atlantis, Cabannes has expanded his team to 52 members and now oversees the entirety of the resort’s bakery and pastry operations.With a reputation for meticulous attention to detail, he ensures that every creation from the Atlantis, The Palm,pastry kitchen is produced with the best quality ingredients.In an ode to serving the finest desserts across the resort,Cabannes visited the Weiss Chocolate Factory, a renowned French chocolatier since 1882, and crafted four exclusive chocolate varieties for Atlantis, The Palm.
The Afternoon Tea experience at Plato’s is available daily from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. With three Afternoon Tea packages available, guests can choose unlimited tea and coffee for AED 240, Pearl which includes a signature cocktail for AED 290 or Treasure which includes a glass of champagne for AED 345.
