The festive feeling is in the air with Christmas décor and treats steadily making appearances around town. This holiday season, Meliã Desert Palm Dubai invites guests to enjoy a magical Christmas at their luxurious and peaceful urban oasis.
The polo retreat’s December calendar is packed with plenty of activities for both children and adults, including festive tree lighting , gingerbread house workshops, Christmas Day brunch and much more.
The festivities will begin with a traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony to be held on Thursday, 5th December at the resort’s lobby from 6pm to 7pm. Guests can experience the cosy ambience complete with complimentary festive bites and beverages.
Gingerbread House Workshops
The hotel’s culinary team will get little chefs into the Xmas spirit by teaching them how to make gingerbread houses. Children will not only learn to build their houses but also decorate them with icing and sweets, and carry their creations home. The workshops will be held on Saturday, 7th and 21st December from 11am to 1pm. Priced at AED 120 per child and is available for groups of five children or more.
Turkey Takeaway
Meliã Desert Palm Dubai encourages residents to take a break from the kitchen and relish a delicious turkey with their loved ones, in the comfort of their homes. Foodies can order a traditional 6 kg. turkey complete with all the trimmings including potatoes, carrots, Brussel sprouts, homemade gravy, cranberry sauce and tasty stuffing. The hotel’s brassiere, Epicure will be dishing out turkeys between 15th to 27th December. Order needs to be placed 48 hours in advance. Each turkey is priced at AED 550, ideal for 8-10 people. An extra AED 100 will be charged for delivery to surrounding areas including Mirdif, Al Warqa and Dubai Silicon Oasis.
Christmas Tipples and Cheese
Diners can kick off the Christmas celebrations early at Epicure with festive tipples and cheese evenings. The sumptous spread will include international cheeses, fondue, freshly-baked artisan breads, antipasti, salads and seasonal desserts, beautifully paired with free-flowing grape or mulled punch. Tipples and Cheese nights will held on 12th and 19th December from 7:30pm to 10:30pm; priced at AED 175 per person.
Festive Afternoon Tea
Meliã Desert Palm Dubai will be serving their popular Afternoon Tea with a festive twist from 18th to 27th December on the Portico Terrace, offering views of the lush polo fields. Guests can sip the finest teas and savour tiers of Xmas pastries, elegant finger sandwiches and warm scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. The afternoon tea will be available from 3pm to 6pm and is priced at AED 145 per person including selections of JING tea; AED 240 person including one glass of bubbly and AED 80 per child (6-11 years old).
Christmas Day Brunch (25th December)
This Christmas promises to be a whole lot of fun for the full family at Meliã Desert Palm Dubai. The hotel’s signature restaurant, RARE will be serving up a traditional Christmas feast from 1pm to 4:30pm on the Portico Terrace overlooking the pristine polo fields. Diners can relish delicacies from the live cooking stations while sipping Christmas beverages, combined with the tunes of the live band. Little ones can participate in festive activities and meet Santa Claus. The brunch is priced at AED 550 per person with half bottle of bubbly and house beverages; AED 425 per person with sparkling grape; AED 315 with soft beverages and AED 150 per child.
Boxing Day Breakfast (26th December)
Those that have spent Christmas in the comfort of their homes can step out with their family and friends and unwind with a lavish breakfast spread at Epicure. The buffet will include Boxing Day favourites such as turkey sandwiches, turkey curry and much more. Breakfast will be served from 9am to 2pm and is priced at AED 120 per guest; AED 60 per child (6 to 11 years old).
Corporate Festive Events
