Chef Hats On For Meliã Desert Palm Dubai’s Asado Experience

The movement restrictions had us baking loaves of banana bread and indulging in desserts. Though our baking skills have improved, it’s time to learn a new trick, especially to entertain guests in the upcoming months. Dubai’s boutique polo resort, Meliã Desert Palm Dubai has you covered with the Asado Experience.

The resort’s executive chef, Gaston Silva Herrera, will teach you how to prepare an authentic Asado Argentino (BBQ) from start to finish. The session will include techniques to light the grill in a traditional way; preparing appetisers such as picadas, Rescoldo-style vegetables, choripán (chorizo sandwich), cold cuts and laying out the perfect cheese board; all while relishing delicious empanadas.

Chef will also teach participants to season beef cuts, chicken, lamb and fish with salmuera (salt water) along with making traditional sauces like chimichurri and criolla. The Asador (chef) will end the lesson with tips to handle the fire, setting the right temperature and finally making a hearty Asado.

The Asado experience is available for groups of maximum six to eight people. The class is priced at AED 350 per person including soft beverages, hops and grape. At the end of the session, all participants can dig into the their dishes with the group. The duration of the full experience is 3.5 hours. For more information or bookings, please call 056 681 6175.
