Conrad Dubai has announced a donation of 500 meals to the “1 Billion Meals” initiative as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility drive. Conrad Dubai is 1 of 25 hotels from the Hilton Group that will contribute to the initiative with a total of 6300 meals pledged to the initiative.
The campaign, which is organized by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), provides food assistance to the poor and malnourished in 50 countries around the world, with a focus on vulnerable groups such as children, refugees, displaced people and those affected by disasters and crises. Conrad Dubai is one of several UAE entities that is making a significant financial contribution to the 1 Billion Meals initiative, helping to alleviate the hunger experienced by 800 million people worldwide every day.
Michael Schmitt, General Manager of Conrad Dubai said, “Conrad Dubai supports the UAE’s values and goals, and we always strive to have a positive impact in our surrounding communities. The campaign encapsulates the UAE’s giving culture as well as our own goals for global unity”.
Furthermore, during the holy month of Ramadan, Conrad Dubai is also contributing in this year’s One Million Saved Meals initiative in collaboration with ReLoop, which will see all Iftar leftovers being converted and reused in various ways that will benefit its surrounding communities.
