World-renowned artist Riccardo Prosperi, also known as Simafra, is bringing his first solo exhibition to the Emirates. Hosted by Park Hyatt Dubai from the 2nd of March, the exhibition explores the intimate concept of HORTUS; translated to “garden” in Latin, Hortus is referred to an intimate garden in the back of a house, used to grow fruits and vegetables. Simafra believes that taking care of a “Hortus” requires dedication, attentive care, and respect for the seasons’ alternate dance and sometimes unpredictable rhythm, a notion that will be reflected in his work at the exhibition.
Visitors can expect an engaging fusion of familiar shapes and colours in his art, enriched with unforeseen twists that highlight life cyclical nature and rebirth. The exhibition is set to become a space for reflection and self-awareness as the artist connects with other human beings, familiar elements and cosmic suggestions that drive his work.
Simafra, who is originally based in Florence began his artistic journey in 2000 and has showcased his work across Europe, with notable exhibitions in Paris, London, and Rome over the years. Finally introducing his thought-provoking art to the Emirates, Park Hyatt Dubai is inviting all the art lovers to discover the world of HORTUS from March 2nd until March 15th.
