Hotel Indigo Downtown held its second edition of Art Her Way event celebrating women’s day, in collaboration with Classic Deli. Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown and Classic Deli share the same philosophy, they both believe that art and food unite people on multiple levels while nourishing the body and the soul. Hosted on 8th March, the event brought together successful women to share their experiences and break stereotypes of working in diverse industries. Moderated by Astrid Lesuisse, Art Manager, the panelists included Aida Al Busaidy, Senior advisor in Dubai government, artist Rabab Tantawy, pastry chef Ines Durand, founder of Arcadia by Amna, Amna Al Habtoor, and architect and designer Sandra Boutros. Each profile shared views on female empowerment, tackling integral issues in their respective fields, and overcoming challenges.
As part of this immersive evening engaging all senses, was the live reveal of a distinct art piece, which was created by the panelists together to champion the growth of the female workforce and celebrate collective joy, and community in a world that keeps us apart. The ephemeral edible sculpture read out “women” in Arabic. Designed by architect Sandra Boutros, the piece was made by pastry chef Ines Durand, painted by artist Rabab Tantawy, adding to it the scent of entrepreneur Amna Al Habtoor and the flavours of communicator Aida Al Busaidy resulting in one of a kind piece of art.
