Following the successful launch of its first artist residency, Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown revealed a stunning art piece at an exclusive event held on Thursday 29th April, which was created in collaboration with multi-talented Israeli artist, Elior Hazan,and other contributing homegrown artists.
Over the duration of his residency at the art led boutique hotel, Elior Hazan, popularly known as Aladdin, visited Dubai for the first time and explored the city, drawing inspiration from its cultural heritage to create a one-of-a-kind art piece,which perfectly reflects the highly diverse nature of the country.
As part of the ‘Peace of Art’ project,Elior Hazan teamed up withfive incredibly talented artists of varying nationalities, who each contributed to the final piece of art. Artists included Iraqi artist and architect, Muhanad Al Nassiri, Paris-born digital and mixed media artist, Chloé Robin a.k.aAzaidé, Pakistani fine artist, Ramsha Fatima, and, Emirati artists, Mediyah Al Maktoum and Reem Al Falasi.
Aligned with the UAE government’s initiative to foster a welcoming and open destination for all nationalities to enjoy, the artwork aims to promote peace through art by highlighting the distinct styles and rich cultures of these contributing artists.
The artwork will be displayed at Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown until June 30th 2021 before starting its journey around UAE’s cultural institutions, offering everyone a chance to be a part of the experience.
