Jumeirah Zabeel Saray launches its celebration of mangoes this June, at its family-friendly Mughal inspired venue, Amala. Running from June 17th to July 1st, guests are in for a one of kind treat, featuring the king of all fruit, prepared in a variety of unique styles.
Led by the hotel’s own Chef Pravish, diners will embark on a journey of flavours, as they tuck into a decadent three course set menu, that highlights the versatility of the mango. Guests have the option to enjoy the mango inspired menu in its entirety, or to savour their choice of delicacies alongside the a-la-carte menu.Throughout the festival, the menu will introduce diners to five distinct Indian varieties of the fruit – the Majorly Alphonso from Maharashtra, the Kesar mangoes from Gujarat, the Badami and Rajapuri mangoes from Karnataka and the Totapurifrom Southern India. Each variety brings a new flavour profile to the table adding depth to the dining experiences.
To tantalise all palettes, the mangoes used across the festival can be sampled in the form of chunks and purees, with raw and shaved elements also making a welcome appearance. Whetting appetites are the starters including Mango Murgh Tikka and AamPapdiChaat, while the mains comprising Alphonso Prawn Curry and Aam Ka Koftaoffer a glimpse into the savoury uses of the fruit. Ending the meal on a sweet note are the enticing desserts, such as the Tawa Mango Kabab and Fresh Alphonso Mango served with Green Cardamom Ice Cream.
The set menu will be available from Tuesday to Sunday from 7pm until 11.30pm, as well as to enjoy for lunch on weekends from 1pm to 4pm. find out more about the exciting festival visit jumeirah.com/en/dine/dubai/zabeel-saray-amala.
