Following the establishment of the partnership between Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Africa and Al Jalila Foundation and the launch of the UAE Taddamon initiative by the global hotel company, UAE-based General Managers visited Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital on Tuesday 25th September. Aiming to further educate the team and giving them the opportunity to see their fundraising efforts in action to this non-profit organisation in the UAE.
To mark this initiative, notable members of both organisations came together during the hospital tour that included Al Jalila Children’s Hospital and Adolescent Mental Health Centre of Excellence. Received by Farhad Seddiq, Corporate Communications Director at Al Jalila Children’s, and Al Jalila Children’s Senior Management, General Managers of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, UAE, were taken on a tour of the main departments of Al Jalila Children’s including Diagnostic Imaging Department, Rehabilitation Center and Recreation Center.
Dedicated to furthering healthcare research and education, Al Jalila Foundation was founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The union aims to raise funds for children’s medical education and research through a series of fundraising activities across the Group’s current portfolio of 32 hotels.
The “Taddamon” programme, currently taking place across nine Millennium Hotels and Resorts in the UAE, allows guests staying at the participating hotels the option to donate AED5 to the non-profit organization. Taken from the Arabic word meaning ‘solidarity’ or ‘unity’, the UAE-based fundraising initiative aims to help raise much-needed funds for mental health research.

This visit is the first to a series of events that we are planning across our various hotels in the UAE.” says Kevork Deldelian, Chief Operating Officer, Millennium Hotels and Resorts.
