Indulgent Iftar buffet

Renowned for its yearly sumptuous Iftar buffet, Swissotel Al Ghurair’s Executive Sous Chef Sharif Awad, invites the residents and visitors of Dubai the opportunity to continue the tradition of breaking their fast with friends and family at Liwan restaurant. Guests are welcomed at the restaurant entrance with the traditional “majlis” setup offering dates and Arabic coffee, reminding them of the age-old Bedouin traditions. As the restaurant adorns with the elegant décor of colourful lanterns, and to the tunes of live Oud player, guests indulge in authentic favourites, including soups, hot and cold mezzeh, fresh salads and a spread of delicious main-courses, including local delicacies like Lamb Thareed, Harees, Mixed Dolma, and Ouzi. To satisfy sweet cravings, guests can enjoy a wide variety of desserts including homemade Arabic desserts hand-crafted from age old family recipes such as luqaimat, cheese kunafa, katayef with nuts or cream, znoud el sit, date mahmoul, along with free-flowing tea, coffee and Ramadan juices.

Priced at AED 159 per adult and AED 79 for children between 6 to 12 years the lavish Iftar buffet is available from sunset until 9 p.m. daily.

During the holy month of Ramadan, Liwan restaurant offers an Arabic selection of Ramadan desserts, along with hot and cold mezzehs, selection of yoghurts, cheese platter, freshly baked Arabic bread, morning bakeries, and option of a main course of Ouzi or Biryani., including free flowing coffee, tea and Ramadan juices.

Sohour buffet is available daily from 2 a.m. to sunrise at Liwan restaurant, priced at AED 109 per adult and AED 55 for children between 6 to 12 years.

Guests can also enjoy their Sohour outdoor at the Liwan terrace and relish a choice of shisha flavors at AED 55.
