In line with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision to establish sustainability pillars as key components of Dubai’s environmental journey, Rove Hotels – which was recently awarded the Green Key eco-label across its hotels – has been rewarding Rovers who hand in their plastic bottles for recycling at The Daily outlets across the city. Rovers have embraced Rove’s environmentally friendly approach to recycling plastic to such an extent that a staggering 150,000 plastic bottles have been handed in as part of the project.
Expressing his delight at the massive success of the recycling initiative, Paul Bridger, Corporate Director of Operations at Rove Hotels, stated, “The extremely positive response we have received is a major source of pride for everyone at Rove. Not only have we collected over 150,000 plastic bottles, but we have also promoted recycling in the community and brought significant public and media attention to such an important topic. This is just one of a host of environmental projects we are working on and the entire Rove team is very excited about the prospect of unveiling more sustainability initiatives in the near future. Recycling is only part of the change we all need to make, which includes reducing consumption and increasing re-using. Watch this space for more sustainability initiatives from Rove in the near future!”
With a New Year comes a refreshed approach to Rove’s recycling initiative. From January 1st, 2019, Rovers can bring their plastics bottles to The Daily restaurants across Dubai every day of the week, from 11am to 11pm. When you bring a minimum of 20 plastics bottles (per person) to The Daily, you will earn 50% off your food and soft drinks, ensuring you gain even more value from your meal. Rovers can enjoy The Daily’s wide selection of delicious menu offerings for half the price on the same day that the bottles are exchanged.
Rovers can bring their plastic bottles to The Daily outlets at Rove Hotels’ locations in Dubai Marina, City Centre, Trade Centre and Healthcare City.
