On 8 June 2019, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts across the region are promoting health and wellness with Global Wellness Day, introducing bespoke wellness experiences that will bring a positive change to every individual.
There is a global shift towards wellness where people are putting both their mental and physical health first. The World Health Organisation defines wellness as ‘…a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity’. Meanwhile, the National Wellness Institute defines it as ‘a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential.’
With the motto that ‘One day can change your whole life’, Global Wellness Day’s aims to encourage people to live well, even if it is just for one day.
Across the UAE, guests will have full-day complimentary access to wellness activities.
Shangri-La Hotel and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi will kick off with a healthy and nutritious breakfast, body combat, yoga, signature hand scrub and wraps, and more.
