The S Hotel Al Barsha, a premium four-star property based in Dubai, is set to offer family-friendly stay packages at Arabian Travel Market 2019. ATM runs from April 28 to May 1, 2019 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“The fast-growing halal tourism segment boosts the global travel industry. Muslim travelers from different countries are looking for travel experiences that cater to their specific needs and wants and this is driving the sector’s phenomenal growth. Muslim spend on travel will grow to US$ 274 billion by 2023, up from US$ 177 billion in 2017, according to the State of the Islamic Economy Report 2018/2019. This positively impacts our strategy which is well-aligned to cater to this market. Our first S Hotel in the Middle East, The S Hotel Al Barsha is positioned to cater to the demands of Muslim and non-Muslim travelers from GCC and global markets,” comments Shailesh Grover, General Manager of The S Hotel Al Barsha.
According to a new study by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the global Muslim travel segment is currently valued at an estimated Dh660.6 billion and is forecast to reach Dh807.4 billion by 2020.
“As a family-friendly hotel, we have newly-launched family stay packages that offer quality experiences that will bring the whole family closer together. They can explore an exciting array of nearby must-see attractions such as getting closer to nature at the Dubai Miracle Garden and the Dubai Butterfly Garden, have an adrenaline-packed adventure at the nearby Dubai Autodrome for car-racing enthusiasts, or retail shopping for moms and daughters at the Mall of the Emirates (MOE). We have a free shuttle bus service to and from MOE,” Grover says.
The new family package allows guests from the GCC and guests from all over the world to rest and relax and take advantage of an exclusive two-night stay that includes complimentary daily breakfast featuring a wide selection of healthy organic food at the newly-opened Baker & Spice restaurant, famous for its farm to table cuisine.
“Families with young millennials who are extremely tech-savvy and who are equipped with so much information in real time are also another segment we are closely looking into,” adds Grover. He said that with so many options now available online, they are making sure that their hotel stays are priced competitively as this generation values this factor when booking their next trip.
According to latest Mastercard-Crescentrating Digital Muslim report, the estimated value of online travel purchases will increase from $45 billion in 2017 to $180 billion in 2026.
“We are offering quality packages, that include stylish and modern amenities, world-class accommodation with fresh halal food options, at a good price to ensure that we stay current and relevant to our guests which all hail from the GCC & Middle East, Southeast Asia, Far East Asia, Europe and Latin America,” Grover clarifies.
The hotel features 246 spacious rooms which includes 12 chic suites, three restaurants, a temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pool, a first-class spa & wellness center, and a banqueting space that can accommodate 150 guests for weddings and family reunions.
